About the Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (August)
Cougar Mountain is a proper trail run in the hills east of downtown Bellevue, put on by Seattle Running Club. The course runs through forested park land with enough elevation to make the longer options feel like a real mountain effort. Distance choices range from a short loop to a full marathon, so you can pick something that matches where your training is right now.
Post-race, Flying Lion Brewery supplies beer, and there is food waiting at the finish. A portion of every entry goes directly to King County Parks, which maintains the trails you just ran on. Day-of registration is available if you miss the online window, which closes a few days before each event.

The Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (August) has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
