About the Tiger Rx Wellness Festival and 5K
The race runs on and around Texas Southern University's campus in Houston, and the morning has the feel of a college event with a health mission behind it. Students from the pharmacy and health sciences college staff a health fair at the finish, offering screenings and information about healthcare careers alongside food and music.
The festival side of things runs right after the race, so there is reason to stick around. Health screenings, live music, and food are all part of the post-race setup on campus, making it a longer morning than a typical out-and-back event.
