About the Family Fun Halloween 5k

This is a Halloween costume run put on by a high school cheer program and video club, with the local police involved as part of a safe-driving awareness effort. The course is a 5k, open to all paces and ages, and costumes are part of the point. It reads more like a school community event that happens to have a race bib than a timed competition.

There are raffles at the finish and candy on hand while it lasts. The event is organized by student groups, so the energy is closer to a school fundraiser afternoon than a race-morning production.
