The course runs along the water, with Narragansett Bay and Bristol Harbor in view for much of the route. The terrain is flat, and the surroundings are open enough that you get the bay on one side and parkland on the other for long stretches. Colt State Park sits right on the shoreline, so the scenery stays with you rather than appearing only at the turnaround.
