About the Colorado Run for the Fallen Run/Walk/Ruck
The Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area hosts this untimed tribute event, where each mile of the course is dedicated to a fallen Colorado service member. Their name and rank are read aloud before participants move on. You can run, walk, or ruck, and stay as long as you like. There are no chips and no clock pressure.
An aid station is out on the course with water, electrolytes, and snacks. Gold Star families receive free entry. Core Runners carry memorial flags throughout and take part in the opening and closing ceremonies. The event closes with a Final Mile of Honor walked together as a group.
