About the YMCA Creepy Crawl 5K
The course heads out along the Santa Fe Trail from the trailhead at Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area, then loops back to circle the lake before the finish. It is a road race, mostly flat, with the lake as the centerpiece of the final stretch. Costumes are part of the culture here, and the spooky theme runs through the whole morning.
Packet pickup runs at the Tri-Lakes YMCA in Monument on the two days leading up to the race. On race day, pickup moves to the Santa Fe Trailhead start area. Parking is scattered around the lake, and a pedestrian bridge connects the main lot near the baseball diamond to the start and finish area.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The YMCA Creepy Crawl 5K has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
