About the Color Pop 5k Fun Run
The race runs through Hawk Island Park, starting and finishing near the Red Tail Pavilion. The route is an out-and-back, so you retrace your path after the turnaround. Color stations along the way mean you come back looking different than you left. Chip timing is available for anyone chasing a personal best, though plenty of people are there just for the color and the park.
Check-in opens before the start at the Red Tail Pavilion. Parking is at Hawk Island Park, and there is a fee to enter. Refreshments are available at the finish. Door prizes go to a handful of categories, including the most colorful finisher and the least colorful one.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Color Pop 5k Fun Run has been held every year since at least 2026. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
