About the Collin Cares Glow with the Flow Twilight Run 5K / Walk and Kids Run / Walk
The course is lit up for an evening run, with music playing and a disco ball along the way. It starts and finishes at a middle school, and runners get glow-in-the-dark gear to wear on the course. Proceeds go to a nonprofit that supports families affected by cancer, so there is a real reason behind the lights and the party feel.
The race runs in the evening, which keeps things cooler and gives the glow elements their full effect. The school grounds offer plenty of open space for the kids run, and the post-race area tends to stay lively while results are posted.
