About the Coastal Edge ECSC 5K
The course runs out and back along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk, starting near the water. It is road-flat the whole way, with the ocean to one side and the morning sun coming up over the water. A water station sits near the turnaround. The race takes place during the East Coast Surfing Championships, so the beach is already alive with activity by the time you finish.
Packet pickup happens the evening before the race at the Coastal Edge store on the boardwalk. Race-morning pickup is also available near the start line, under the Coastal Edge tent on the boardwalk. On-site registration is accepted, cash or credit only.
