About the 8th Annual Cider Run 5K
The course winds through the fruit groves at Highland Orchards, so you are running past apple trees rather than along a road or through a park. The surroundings do the work here; it is a working orchard, and the setting feels genuinely different from a typical road race. Cash prizes go to the top male and female finishers, and the event benefits a local youth education nonprofit.
Registration opens on race morning at the orchard, with a cutoff before the start, so arriving early matters. After the race, food trucks and a beer garden are set up on the grounds, and apple cider and apple cider donuts are at the finish.
