About the Chupacabra 5K. 10K. 18 Miler & 50K
The course runs along the Long Beach beachfront on a pedestrian path, looping out to Alamitos Beach and back. It is flat the whole way, with the ocean alongside you for every loop. The shorter distances share the same stretch of coastline, so the faster and longer runners are out there together as the morning builds.
Dogs are welcome in the shorter distances, and the finish area has a DJ and MC going when you cross. There is a time limit on the longer distances, so the pace requirement is real for the ultramarathon and the longer run. Bib pickup opens on race morning before the first wave goes off.
