About the Champion’s Course 5k
The course runs through Moncus Park on a cross country layout, which means grass, natural terrain, and the kind of surface you do not often get in a road race. The day before, Junior Olympics qualifiers race the same ground, so there is some history in the route by the time you run it.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Farmer's Market Pavilion inside the park, with race-morning pickup available as well. Proceeds from the race support Moncus Park itself, so the entry fee stays local.
