About the CDH Family Reunion: Super Hero Fun Run and Memorial Walk
This is a gathering built around a medical community, not a race in the traditional sense. Families affected by CDH meet at a middle school track, walk laps at their own pace, and spend the afternoon connecting with others who share the same experience. As evening approaches, luminaries are lit in memory of children who did not survive, and the group pauses together in silence.
Everything happens at the track, and packets are available from the start of the event, so there is no separate pickup day to plan around. Hotdogs come off the grill during the afternoon, and kids can line up for a short sprint on the track. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket if you want to skip the bleachers.
