About the Turkey Strut 5K

The course runs through City County Park and out along the bypass, so you get a mix of park paths and open road before looping back. It is a paved out-and-back style route with water available at the midpoint and at the finish, where fruit and granola bars are set out afterward. Race photos are covered, and there is music and food at the end.

Packet pickup the evening before is at the Coolidge Building on Maple Street. If you miss that, there is a race-morning window at the Ag. Extension Office inside City County Park, which is also the start area. The race benefits the Jessamine County Food Pantry, and a non-perishable food drive runs alongside it.
