This race starts at the Coolidge Building and finishes in front of the Courthouse, so the route runs point to point through downtown Nicholasville. The course is short enough that costumes are fully practical, and the prize for best-dressed outfit is taken seriously. Chip timing keeps things honest even on a festive evening.
