About the Catalina Island Half-Marathon & 10K
The course starts in Avalon and climbs hard into the island's interior, gaining serious elevation before opening onto ridge views across the Pacific. On a clear day you can see neighboring Channel Islands from the top. The descent comes through the Wrigley Memorial and Gardens before the route drops back into town. Bison roam the conservancy land you pass through, which is not something most trail races can say.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a conservancy visitor center on Crescent Ave. Race-morning pickup is available at Wrigley Stage near the Green Pier, just before the start. That pier-side spot is worth knowing if you are arriving by ferry the morning of.
