About the Care Net Owensboro 5K Reindeer Run/Walk

The race runs along Veterans Blvd in Owensboro, a street course that works for anyone moving at any pace. Holiday costumes are part of the culture here, ugly sweaters and Santa hats everywhere you look. There is a separate short dash for young children, where kids run alongside someone dressed as Santa to the finish.

Hot chocolate and coffee from a local cafe are at the finish, along with bread from a local bakery. Door prize drawings happen after the race. The event raises money for Care Net Owensboro, a local organization that provides pregnancy and health services to people in the area.
