About the Cannonball Running Festival - Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

The longer distances run the A & Y Greenway, a paved rail trail that locals use for training year-round, while the shorter distances and the start and finish stay inside Country Park. The greenway stretches out flat and open, so there is not much hiding from the effort, but the surface is smooth and the surroundings are tree-lined most of the way.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at a local brewery, with a group shakeout run leaving from there. Race-morning pickup is available for a small donation to the event's charity partner. Parking at Jaycee Park fills early and carpooling is strongly encouraged; overflow parking is available at the Greensboro Science Center nearby. Local craft breweries pour at the finish, and there is live music during the post-race celebration.

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:09:51, and the last recorded finisher came in around 4:29:48, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.
