About the Butler Bulldog Jog
The race runs through the Butler University campus, and the course is flat enough that faster runners genuinely use it to race hard. Dogs are welcome on the shorter distance, and strollers too. The Butler pep band and cheer team are out on the course, and the university's mascot makes an appearance, so there is a lot going on around you as you run.
The longer distance takes runners off campus and onto a canal towpath, which is narrower and better suited to those going without a stroller or a dog. Both routes start and finish on campus grounds, where the university's student and athletic presence makes the start area feel more like a campus event than a typical road race morning.
