About the Burning Off The BBQ 5K
The course runs along the Greenway, a paved path that keeps things smooth underfoot. The race takes place during a BBQ and music festival already filling the downtown, so the surrounding energy on race morning is a little different from a standalone event. There is a team competition between local law enforcement agencies baked into the day, and a ribbon goes to the best BBQ-themed outfit.
Parking is described as easy to reach on foot, with portable restrooms on site. The race benefits the local Rotary Club, funding scholarships and community projects.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
