About the Bulldog 5K Run and Costume Dash
The course runs on pavement around a community college campus and is USATF certified, so the route is measured and marked. The costume element is the defining detail: runners show up dressed as anything from superheroes to pumpkins, which makes the crowd along the way a bit of a spectacle in itself. Masks and full-face coverings are not allowed, so you can actually see who is racing.
Packet pickup runs in the hour before the start on race morning. The race is organized by the college's student government, and entry fees go directly toward student clubs and campus events throughout the year.
