About the "Bridge to Brew" Half Marathon and 5K

The course heads north from Quay Street in downtown Port Huron on an out-and-back route, tracing the waterfront where the St. Clair River meets Lake Huron. Water stays beside you most of the way, and turning around means you already know what the second half looks like.

Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store on Huron Avenue, with race-morning pickup also available at the start line. The start area sits on Quay Street near the Black River, with live music there before and after. A restaurant nearby opens a breakfast buffet during and after the race, with seating inside and out.

Common Questions About the "Bridge to Brew" Half Marathon and 5K

Will I finish last at the "Bridge to Brew" Half Marathon and 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:13:04, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:28:08, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the "Bridge to Brew" Half Marathon and 5K a good first 13.1 Miles?

A field of 225 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the "Bridge to Brew" Half Marathon and 5K?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:10:24 while the median finisher took 2:13:04. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
