About the Brayden's Benefit 5k Run/Walk
The course starts and finishes at Stony Fork Campground and covers a mix of grass, gravel, and dirt trail. There are a couple of creek crossings along the way, so your feet will get wet. The race raises money for a chromosome research society in honor of a local boy named Brayden Blackwell.
Refreshments are out before the awards, which makes the post-race gathering feel unhurried. Age group awards go several places deep across a wide spread of categories, so most of the field has something to stick around for.
