About the 2026 Boxers' Trail 5K (Run and Walk)
The course winds through forest and meadow, climbs some real hills, and follows shady creek corridors before passing historic mansions and active playgrounds. The trail has a long association with boxing legends who trained here, and the route makes it easy to see why. Underfoot it is mixed terrain, so trail shoes or sturdy shoes are worth considering.
Proceeds go to youth programs at a playground in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, and the race is hosted with the involvement of that local community. Residents of Strawberry Mansion can reach out directly to the organizers for a discount on entry.
