About the Boxers & Briefs 5k

The course winds through the residential streets of the Broadlands neighborhood, starting and finishing at the Broadlands Community Center. The route is a neighborhood loop, so the surroundings are quiet streets rather than trails or parkland. The theme is the draw: runners are encouraged to race in boxers, briefs, pajamas, or whatever creative layering they can manage.

Packet pickup happens race morning at the start area, bib only. Your other goodies wait at the finish line. Parking is not at the Community Center itself; the lots across Waxpool Road at the middle school and tennis courts are the main options, with a pedestrian tunnel for crossing safely. A clothing drive for underwear and briefs runs alongside the race, benefiting a local nonprofit.
