About the Sprout 5K
The course runs on the grounds of a working farm venue in Ashburn, and that setting gives the morning a different feel from a typical road race. The route is flat and open, with the start and finish in the same spot. The race benefits a therapeutic riding center nearby, so the crowd tends to include families and people connected to that community.
Packet pickup is the afternoon before at the same farm venue, with race-morning pickup opening well before the start. Post-race, the venue provides food and drinks on site.
