About the Ashburn Farm Thanksgiving Day Races
This is a Thanksgiving morning race in Ashburn, and the proceeds go toward a local church's outreach work, covering everything from food assistance and emergency funds to housing projects abroad. The course is USATF certified, which means the distances have been measured properly. There are no water stops on the course, so bring your own if you need it; water is waiting at the finish.
Packet pickup is held at Crossroads United Methodist Church, the evening before and again on race morning before the start. The church also serves as the organizational home of the race, so the start area has that feel of a familiar, well-worn gathering spot.
