About the Bolt for the Heart - Thanksgiving Day 5K
The course starts near a performing arts center and heads west before turning north, then cuts into the Arts and Design District and picks up the Monon Trail. The trail section brings you through a newer midtown stretch before looping back to the finish. It runs through a well-developed part of Carmel, so the surroundings are polished and easy underfoot.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at a hotel on Carmichael Square, with a short race-morning window as a backup, though the organizers steer you toward the preview day. Several parking garages are within easy reach of the start, with entrances off Third Ave and Rangeline. Restrooms are available near the hotel and along the trail.
