About the Biltmore Forest 5k/10k
The course winds through the Biltmore Forest neighborhood, a residential area of rolling hills that keeps the legs honest throughout. There is no flat stretch to coast on, but nothing extreme either. The route has the feel of a road race through a quiet, tree-lined community rather than a park or trail setting.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, with an option to pick up at the start location on race morning. The race starts from Carolina Day School on Hendersonville Road. There is no race-day registration, so getting sorted beforehand matters. Awards include gift certificates to a local running shop.
