About the Bigfoot Classic - Houston
The Bigfoot Classic runs through Texas parkland along the Brazos River, with wooded surroundings that give the course a genuine trail-adjacent feel even if you stay on packed surfaces. Several distance options mean the morning draws a wide spread of paces, from kids dashing to people running their longest effort of the year.
A DJ keeps things moving at the start and finish area, announcing runners by name as they come in. There is also a costume contest for anyone who shows up dressed as Bigfoot or another creature from folklore, with the winner chosen by the crowd. Snacks and drinks are out at the race rally tent after you finish.

Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
