About the BIG LEX 4 Miler
The course runs through the grounds of Keeneland Racecourse, one of the more distinctive settings you will find for a road race. The route takes you through the historic property rather than along typical city streets, so the surroundings feel different from an ordinary neighborhood run. There are also shorter distance options, including a kids' run, so families tend to show up in force.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, with a race-morning option available near the start and finish at Keeneland. Both options are close to the action, so you are not driving across town the morning of the race.

The BIG LEX 4 Miler has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
