About the Beer City Half™ San Jose

The course runs through Almaden Lake Park, a green stretch in the southern part of San Jose with a lake at its center. Trails wind through the park, so expect natural surfaces underfoot rather than pavement. The surroundings are open and relatively quiet for a city park, with water visible through much of the route.

The post-race setup leans into local craft beer, with the finish area opening into a festival. Local breweries are the draw once you stop running, and the atmosphere shifts noticeably from race to gathering once the clock stops mattering.
