About the 2026 Día de los Muertos Run-Walk
The course follows the Guadalupe River Trail, a paved path that runs through the heart of San Jose. The route is flat and straightforward, which means the crowd spreads out quickly and you get stretches where it is just you and the trail. The event has a strong Día de los Muertos character: costumes, face paint, and a community ofrenda where participants can leave photos of loved ones.
Packet pickup runs the evening before and again in the hour or so before the start, both at the same address on Gold Street. A health resource fair and live music are part of the post-race scene. If you bring a photo for the ofrenda, collect it before you leave.
