The course goes across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is closed to pedestrians the rest of the year. You run the eastbound span, starting on the Anne Arundel side and finishing on Kent Island. There is nothing quite like being out over open water with no cars beside you, the bay stretching out in both directions.
Parking is available on both sides of the bridge, with shuttles running to the start, so you can leave your car near wherever you plan to finish up.
