About the 2026 Autism Society of the Heartland 5K/1K Fun Run

The course runs through the Aspiria campus, a large former corporate campus that gives the route wide, open surroundings. The terrain is easy underfoot, and the event draws both runners and walkers across a couple of distance options. Age group awards go to the top finishers, and a vendor and resource fair runs at the finish area.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at a location announced closer to race day, which helps keep the morning moving. If you pick up on race morning, the organizers suggest arriving a little early. After you finish, stick around the finish area for the vendor fair, where organizations serving the autism community set up.
