The Monster Dash runs through South Creek Office Park, a course the organizers describe as fast. It is a Halloween race, so costumes are part of the morning. There is a costume contest before the gun goes off, which means the start area tends to fill up early with people worth looking at.

Packet pickup the evening before is at a local running store. Race-morning pickup opens at the start site. The kids run follows the main event, so families tend to stick around after the adult wave finishes.
