About the Art Car IPA 5K Social Run/Walk
This one starts and ends at a bar, which sets the tone. The route is a casual out-and-back through downtown Houston, roughly a 5K, with pace leaders spread through the group so nobody gets left behind. It runs rain or shine, and if the weather genuinely stops the run, people stay and eat anyway.
Check-in is at the Flying Saucer before the run departs. Afterward, the group comes back to the bar for tamales from a local tamale company and beer from Saint Arnold Brewing. Parking downtown is free on Sundays. The whole morning is built around the post-run hangout as much as the miles.
