About the Art Car IPA 5K Social Run/Walk
The Flying Saucer in downtown Houston is where the morning begins and ends. The route heads out through the streets and loops back, flat urban running with no real surprises underfoot. Pace leaders spread through the group, so nobody gets left behind and nobody feels rushed. Rain or shine, the run goes on.
Check in at the Flying Saucer before the start. When everyone returns, there are beers from Saint Arnold, a pint glass, and tamales from Texas Tamale Company waiting. Street parking nearby is free on Sundays, which makes the morning a little easier to pull together.
