About the 2026 Aniridia 5K & 1 Mile Family Walk
The course starts in the Roxborough neighborhood and heads into Wissahickon Valley Park, running alongside Wissahickon Creek. The trail follows the creek through wooded valley terrain, so expect a natural surface underfoot and tree cover most of the way. It is a genuine park run, not a road race, with the creek audible for much of the route.
The race benefits Overbrook School for the Blind, a Philadelphia school serving students with visual impairments. A virtual participation option is also available for those who cannot make it to the park in person.
