All Saints 5k Shuffle

Ozark, MO

About the All Saints 5k Shuffle

The course starts behind a Catholic church off Bluff Drive, heads west across a highway, passes the high school, and picks up a paved city trail. There is a tunnel under a cross street, then a hard right and a climb to the turnaround. The return trip means running that same hill again to finish where you started.

Back at the church, the parish hall has hot coffee and pancakes put on by the Knights of Columbus. The race falls on Halloween, so a costume contest runs alongside it, with separate prizes for the best Halloween costume and the best saint costume. Runners who want to compete for those must wear their costumes on the course.

Common Questions About the All Saints 5k Shuffle

Will I finish last at the All Saints 5k Shuffle?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 30:49, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:07:28, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the All Saints 5k Shuffle a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (46 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the All Saints 5k Shuffle?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 18:23 while the median finisher took 30:49. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
