About the All-Out Spring Fever

The course runs out and back along Ralston Creek Trail, with Blunn Reservoir sitting to one side as you head out. The surface is mostly concrete and asphalt, with a short gravel stretch that is worth thinking about if you use a stroller or traditional wheelchair. The terrain is gentle, and the setting along the water is quiet for a spring morning.

Packet pickup is available the afternoon before the race at a location announced closer to the date, and again on race morning well before each wave goes off. The start area is in a stadium parking lot, so there is space to warm up and get organized without much scrambling.

Common Questions About the All-Out Spring Fever

Will I finish last at the All-Out Spring Fever?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 36:58, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:49:53, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the All-Out Spring Fever a good first 5K?

A field of 216 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the All-Out Spring Fever?

The 5K winner ran 20:12 while the median finisher took 36:58. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
