Houston, TX
This run is put on by the school district's superintendent and the local education foundation, so the crowd skews heavily toward students, school staff, and their families. The pace is wide open, walkers and rollers included, and the feel is closer to a school-spirit morning than a race. It is rooted in the Alief community specifically, not just a generic fun run that happens to be nearby.
