About the Albuquerque Turkey Trot
The race takes place at Balloon Fiesta Park, a wide open grounds on the north side of Albuquerque best known for the city's famous hot air balloon festival. The course has the feel of a flat park run, with plenty of space around you. A short kids' dash runs earlier in the morning before the main distances go off.
Parking is in the northeast lot off San Mateo, not from Balloon Museum Drive. Once you park, walk south toward the Sid Cutter Pavilion and follow the volunteers from there. Awards and a raffle wrap up the morning after the main races finish.
