About the AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K

The course starts in front of City Hall and winds through downtown Clermont, finishing at a brewery just a block away from where you began. The holiday timing means flags everywhere and a patriotic costume contest at the finish. There are a couple of aid stations along the way, and watermelon and post-race snacks are waiting when you cross.

Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at Dash Sports, a local running store, with a race-morning window on the lawn by City Hall as a backup. The start and finish are close together in the same downtown block, and the city has several public parking lots nearby, so plan to arrive with a little extra time to find a spot and walk over.

Common Questions About the AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K

Will I finish last at the AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 36:31, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:09:44, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

With 1,274 finishers there are runners at every pace, so you are never out on your own. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 16:00 while the median finisher took 36:31. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
