About the Running Start for Hope 5K
The course runs along the Legacy Trail at Coldstream Park, a paved path that sees a lot of regular foot traffic from locals. The route is smooth underfoot and the park setting keeps things open. This is an evening race, so the light will be softer and the air a bit cooler than a typical morning start.
Packet pickup and check-in happen on race evening, so there is no separate trip the day before. A food truck will be on site, and the race benefits a local nonprofit recovery running program that trains participants alongside volunteers.
