About the Turkey Trot 5K & Giblet Jog 1M
The race starts and finishes at the entrance to a soccer complex behind a middle school off Milner Road, just outside of downtown Cartersville. The course follows a familiar route that has been around long enough to feel like a neighborhood tradition, and the shorter one-mile option runs alongside it for younger kids or anyone easing into the morning.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store on Church Street, and race-morning pickup opens well before the start. Parking is in the soccer complex lot right off Milner Road. Age group awards go deep across a wide range of categories, and the top overall finishers take home a frozen turkey.
