About the 5K for Peace

The course runs through the historic squares of downtown Savannah, which means shade, uneven brick in spots, and something worth looking at around every turn. It starts and finishes at Daffin Park. The route is road, mostly flat, and the squares give it a stop-and-start geometry that feels different from a standard out-and-back.

After the race, there is music, food, and a gathering of vendors and community organizations at the park. The event benefits Rooted Ummah, a local nonprofit that provides meals, supplies, and services to unhoused neighbors, refugees, and displaced families in Savannah and beyond.
