About the 5K & Family Health Day for Maternal Health Awareness
The course runs a couple of laps around a park, starting and finishing near a covered pavilion. It is a simple, looping route with no dramatic terrain, and because you pass the finish area between laps, you always know exactly where you are. The race benefits a local nonprofit focused on maternal and infant care for women who could not otherwise afford it.
Free parking is available, with directions sent out after registration. After the race, the event opens into a health fair with free screenings and wellness resources, along with a community baby shower for new and expecting mothers. You do not need to run to attend that part.
