The race runs through Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, a large county park with paved and natural surface paths winding through open green space. The costume element is genuine, not an afterthought: runners show up dressed as iguanas, leaning into the South Florida invasive-species absurdity, and the start area reflects that energy.
Packet pickup opens early on race morning at a pavilion inside the park, so there is no separate pre-race trip required. Post-race beer is available for those of age, and the awards cover both distances with overall and age group recognition.
