About the 4TH NICOLA PIZZA RUN/WALK

The course runs out through a nearby development to a trail and then back, flat the whole way with traffic around you. Police are stationed along the route, and the course is marked with arrows and cones, so there is no guessing where to go.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at Nicola Pizza itself, and the organizers encourage you to order dinner while you are there. The after-party brings the race back to the same restaurant, with post-race refreshments and an awards ceremony wrapping up shortly after the last runner finishes.

Common Questions About the 4TH NICOLA PIZZA RUN/WALK

Will I finish last at the 4TH NICOLA PIZZA RUN/WALK?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.11 Miles field finished slower than 33:18, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:09:53, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 4TH NICOLA PIZZA RUN/WALK a good first 3.11 Miles?

It is a small race (190 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.11 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 4TH NICOLA PIZZA RUN/WALK?

The 3.11 Miles winner ran 17:07 while the median finisher took 33:18. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
